NEW AND RECENT RECORDINGS OF ORIGINAL MUSIC

Having acquired a beautiful new Kawai GX2 grand piano last summer, I was inspired to record my own piano compositions, a number of which have been waiting for years to see the light. Music for First Piano was commissioned in 2008 by my dear, now late friend Edwin Good, who passionately loved the piano and its history. Author of Giraffes, Black Dragons, and Other Pianos, he owned a custom copy of the very first pianoforte (Bartolomeo Cristofori, 1700). I wrote this six-movement piece to be playable both on that instrument and on the modern piano.
